It researches regional educational and socialization conditions and develops recommendations to reduce social inequalities. The starting point is the structural disadvantage of the region since 1989\/90 due to emigration, ageing and poverty (risk), which is intensifying in the current structural change.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Education enables empowerment and contributes to social transformations.
