Background<\/h2>\n
Magmatic-hydrothermal alteration of magmatic rocks represents an important process in the formation of ore deposits for various valuable elements (e.g., Sn, W, Mo, Li, B). These alteration processes also lead to changes in the petrophysical properties of the rocks through mineral transformations. Such alteration phenomena occur in the marginal area of the Ramberg pluton, and they are being studied mineralogically and geochemically in collaboration with the Landesamt f\u00fcr Geologie und Bergwesen (LAGB) Saxony-Anhalt. In addition to the enrichment of valuable elements, the structural changes in the rock are relevant for the potential disposal of radioactive waste.<\/p>\n
