Vita<\/h2>\n

Since 2001, Christian Tietje has been Professor (tenure) for European Law and International Economic Law, director of the Institute for Economic Law, and director of the Transnational Economic Law Research Centre (TELC) at the Law School at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. He has been awarded a Jean Monnet Chair for EU Value Oriented Neighbourhood and Trade Policy in 2023. His primary research interests lie in the areas of EU common commercial policy and international economic law (world trade law, investment protection and arbitration, global financial markets). Christian Tietje received his legal education at the Universities of Kiel\/Germany, Paris V, and University of Michigan Law School, Ann Arbor. He holds two German law degrees with distinction and is a Professor of Law since 2001. He has published several books and more than 180 articles and has advised Governments, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, business associations and multilateral companies in the above-mentioned research areas. He has been appointed legal expert and arbitrator in several commercial and investment arbitrations. Christian Tietje was rector of the University Halle from 2018 to 2022.<\/p>\n

Together with Jonathan Everts and Ralf Wehrspohn, Christian Tietje developed the project proposal for the \u201cEuropean Center for Just Transition Research and Impact-Driven Transfer\u201d (JTC) and, since its approval in 2024, has been a member of the Executive Board and spokesperson for Pillar C \u201cLabs\u201d of the Just Transition Center.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Everts ist seit 2018 Professor f\u00fcr Humangeographie an der Martin\u2011Luther\u2011Universit\u00e4t Halle\u2011Wittenberg (MLU). Er war t\u00e4tig an den Universit\u00e4ten in Sheffield, Bayreuth, Bonn und Dresden. In seiner Forschung befasst sich Everts mit Theorien sozialer Praktiken, sozialr\u00e4umlichem Wandel und Mensch\u2011Umwelt\u2011Beziehungen. Prof. Everts ist Gr\u00fcndungsdirektor des Instituts f\u00fcr Strukturwandel und Nachhaltigkeit (HALIS) an der MLU sowie Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrender Direktor des Zentrums f\u00fcr Interdisziplin\u00e4re Regionalstudien (ZIRS). Prof. Everts leitet aktuell zwei inter- und transdisziplin\u00e4re Forschungsprojekte zum Strukturwandel in Mitteldeutschland, die Agentur f\u00fcr Aufbruch (F\u00f6rderung: STARK, in Kooperation mit Werkleitz Gesellschaft) sowie das Just Transition Center (F\u00f6rderung: JTF). Beide Projekte f\u00f6rdern den Transfer von Wissen aus der Region in die Universit\u00e4t und umgekehrt.\u200b<\/p>\n
