How can transformative education be successfully organised in times of structural change?

In a rapidly changing world, education needs new approaches. Our team researches and develops learning environments for structural change. We are particularly focussed on rural regions that are affected by change processes. We support people and organisations in acquiring the knowledge and skills needed for socio-ecological change. We combine post-digital educational approaches with local learning spaces in order to promote sustainable development. Our goal: education that not only imparts knowledge, but also empowers people to act and develops attitudes – for a sustainable society.

Pilot Lab Educational Innovation in Rural Areas

How can lifelong learning succeed in rural areas? The pilot lab develops solutions to make better use of existing educational infrastructures in Mansfeld-Südharz through local networks and innovative formats.

The project focuses on analysing parental educational decisions in different types of areas (urban – peripheral), the role of emotional and interactive processes in the transition to lower secondary education, and gender-specific negotiations within the family.
