Peer-Workshop: Knowledge transfer – for whom?

5. December , 9:30 - 19:00

At universities, as well as within general research funding guidelines, there is a growing demand for transfer-oriented projects to generate concrete societal impacts.

As a result, many academic disciplines have developed new forms of cooperation, transfer methods, and practices of translation between science and society. However, it remains insufficiently understood how scientific and practice-related requirements can be mediated and addressed in day-to-day work processes.

This is precisely where the workshop comes in. In a small-scale setting, spaces will be created for students and academic staff to reflect on existing transfer processes, their entanglements and constraints, as well as ideas and visions for political and social change. The aim is to take a first step toward making these newly emerging transfer activities visible and gaining an overview of their forms and challenges.

The event is organized by the AK Uni within the context of the Student Council using its own funds, and is hosted together with the Research Institute for Social Cohesion (FGZ), Halle (Saale) site, and the Just Transition Center (JTC).
