Transfer Incubator
Innovations through research in and with the region
The structural change in southern Saxony-Anhalt means a wide range of changes for regions, institutions and people over a long period of time. The JTC‘s transfer pillar aims to actively support and help shape this process by systematically linking research from the social sciences, material sciences and law with the needs of the region.
As an interface between science and practice, we create spaces for exchange, understanding and cooperation. We support researchers in effectively contributing their expertise to social processes and offer regional stakeholders not only direct access to scientific know-how, but above all the opportunity to provide impetus for research.
A key element of our work is our close collaboration with four regional scouts who are active in the districts of southern Saxony-Anhalt. They are familiar with the regional challenges, stakeholder landscapes and development potential – and work with the transfer team to ensure that research reaches the places where it can have an impact.
The Transfer Column is aimed at stakeholders from business, politics and civil society, anyone interested in structural change, and internal stakeholders from universities and academia. Our goal is to work in a way that is understandable, dialogue-oriented and impact-driven – thereby creating concrete social added value from knowledge.
An overview of our areas of activity
Dialogue and Impact Management
We design dialogue formats between science and the region, identify regional needs and support the development of concrete impact cases. The aim is to establish sustainable cooperation and systematically highlight the impact.
Transfer and Start-up Coaching
We support research teams in identifying and refining their transfer potential and communicating it to specific target groups – from the initial idea to its implementation in practice, politics or society.
Entrepreneurship Education
We develop continuing education and learning formats focusing on transfer, impact and social responsibility in science. In doing so, we strengthen skills for structural change – within the university and beyond.

JTC-Dialog “Industrial Culture and Mining Heritage”
